MGH Global Health’s core values drive us to advocate for better health outcomes for all, no matter where they live or how they identify. That is why we are in firm opposition to the Anti-Homosexuality Bill recently introduced in Uganda’s Parliament. The legislation would not only diminish Uganda’s commitment to protecting the right to health of its people, but it would violate multiple fundamental rights including freedom of expression, privacy, equality, and nondiscrimination. MGH’s Center for Global Health stands in strong support of the LGBTQ+ community in Uganda and those who remain committed to protecting fundamental freedoms and universal human rights of all persons.
