Skeeter Welder, RN, BSN, CCRN

Skeeter is the Nurse Project Coordinator for both Global Nursing and the Disaster Response and Humanitarian Action. Skeeter is a Registered Nurse and has worked in critical care for most of her career, with over seven years of experience in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at MGH. She also has extensive training in the care of patients with severe, highly infectious diseases and is an active member of the Biothreats Response Team. Prior to her role as Nurse Project Coordinator, Skeeter was a longtime volunteer with the Global Disaster Response Team and has deployed several times to both domestic and international disasters and humanitarian crisis. Other international work includes volunteering with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children in Uganda prior to her career as a nurse. She is currently working on obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a concentration in Women’s Health at Regis College.
