The Institute for International Medicine (INMED) offers hybrid courses on topics of international medicine and public health. Each hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face instruction with online learning and is accredited for Continuing Medical Education (CME). This course will take place at the MGH Global Health office in Boston.
International Medicine & Public Health Hybrid Course

At the completion of the INMED International Medicine & Public Health Hybrid Course, students in the context of a low-resource community will be able to:
Prevent, diagnose and treat the leading diseases of poverty
Prevent, diagnose and treat HIV infection
Provide for the health of pregnant women and newborns
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills used in low-resource settings
Advance community-wide health promotion and death/disability prevention
Assure that healthcare is culturally appropriate
Mitigate disaster risk and respond to disaster events
Design and implement healthcare as part of a leadership team
Students in the Course will achieve the above learning objectives through the following educational components:
Interactive online presentations by expert professionals
Case studies providing analysis
Skill stations to develop technical facility
Formation groups exploring personal application
Students will need to devote five to ten hours per week during the online segment of the course.
INMED DIPLOMA OPTION
INMED highly recommends that the International Medicine & Public Health Hybrid Course be complemented with a supervised clinical experience in international medicine. Both can be enrolled for simultaneously via the INMED Diploma in International Medicine & Public Health or the INMED Diploma in International Public Health.
