Skeeter Welder, MSN, RN, BSN, CCRN

Skeeter is the Nurse Project Coordinator for Global Nursing and the Disaster Response and Humanitarian Action programs. A seasoned Registered Nurse, she has dedicated much of her career to critical care and continues to work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). With advanced training in managing patients with severe, highly infectious diseases, she is also an active member of the Biothreats Response Team.

Prior to her current role, Skeeter was a committed volunteer with the Global Disaster Response Team, deploying to numerous domestic and international disasters and humanitarian crises. In her role as Nurse Project Coordinator, she continues to contribute to these efforts while also leading nursing fellowship teams on international educational trips. Her global health experience began before her nursing career when she volunteered with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children in Uganda.

Recently, Skeeter earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a concentration in Women’s Health.
