Jacqueline Seiglie, MD, MSc

Dr. Jacqueline Seiglie is an endocrinologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a Global Health Fellow at the MGH Center for Global Health. She has led the development of a global diabetes research program at MGH, which leverages multi-institutional collaborations domestically and abroad. Her research program explores type 2 diabetes epidemiology and health system readiness for diabetes care in low- and middle-income countries by conducting multi- and single-country secondary analyses of population-level surveys and administrative data. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, she is also pursuing research on the epidemiology of diabetes and COVID-19 in lower resource settings. Dr. Seiglie earned her MD from Harvard Medical School and her MSc from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona through a Rotary International Ambassadorial Fellowship. She completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at MGH.
