Alan Batkin
Chair

Alan R. Batkin was Vice Chairman of Eton Park Capital Management, L.P., a global, multi-disciplinary investment firm from March, 2007 to December, 2012. Prior to joining Eton Park, he was, from 1990 to 2007, Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc., a geopolitical consulting company.  Before joining Kissinger Associates, he was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers for 18 years.

Mr. Batkin is on the Board of Directors of three US-based public companies. He is Senior Advisor to Discovery Group, a South Africa based health insurance and financial services company as well as Senior Advisor to Oaktree Emerging Markets Opportunity Fund.

Mr. Batkin is Chairman Emeritus of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and is currently Chair of Airbel, the IRC’s research and development unit.

He is Chairman of the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Global Health Advisory Board and Co-Chair of the Board of Overseers of the Columbia University Mailman School of  Public Health. He is a Trustee and Executive Committee member of the New York City Police Foundation and a member of the MD Anderson Cancer Center Board and Executive Committee.

He is a Trustee of The Brookings Institution and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously served as a member of The Trilateral Commission and the Inter-American Dialogue.
