China has a myopic population of over 600 million. The demand for refractive surgery to get eliminate the need for glasses is huge in adult myopic patients. Since 1993, when the first photo refractive keratectomy was performed at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), refractive surgery has experienced more than 20 years of growth in China. Now China has the largest volume of refractive surgery in the world.
New technologies and applications are also advancing through development in China. Please join us for an overview presented by Dr. Ying Li on the current state of refractive surgery in China and treatment strategies for adult myopia.
